K. W. Jeter, 1998
This book is one of the many reasons Boba Fett has remained my favorite Star Wars character for years. It takes place during two time periods: the first of which is after Jabba's Sail Barge has been destroyed, and the second is flashbacks to a time period between A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back.
This book is cool because we get inside the head of who may potentially be the galaxy's most enigmatic individual, Fett himself. It also confirms that he did indeed survive his unfortunate (and downright disappointing) fall into the Sarlaac pit, just adding to the sheer awesomeness of the character. There are actually a couple of sequels to this book that I never got around to reading, maybe it's time to change that.
