Omega Squad: Targets (2005)
When Jango Fett was selected as the template for the Clone Army, he selected 100 individuals (75 of which were Mandalorians) to train the clone commandos. One of these individuals was Kal Skirata, who treated his group like they were his own sons and taught them about their Mandalorian heritage. He also rescued the Null-ARC troopers, who were scheduled to be terminated when it deemed they were too unstable.
The Null-ARCs and the members of Omega Squad truly look up to Skirata, even calling him Kal'buir ("Papa Kal" in Mando'an) and he personally leads them on certain assignments. Towards the end of the Clone Wars he begins to formulate plans on how to successfully get his boys out of the Army and safe on Mandalore. He even "adopts" former Jedi Etain Tuk-Mukan and Bardan Jusik into the culture.
Kal Skirata is an awesome character, and seeing his love and care for the Clones really drives the story. It's a shame the series was cancelled so early, I'd really like to have seen how his story ended. Plus he's designed after actor Ed Harris, that's pretty sweet.
